Since 2006 I have worked in a large Melbourne public hospital managing many simple and complex patients requiring my expertise.

General life with a stoma is discussed; diet, clothing, bathing, work, sex, hobbies, travel, sport/exercise.
Post operative care will be explained; education, supplies, follow up.

Pre-operative siting of the stoma is to direct the surgeon to the optimal position for stoma formation. This takes into account abdomen shape and size, preferred clothing, visualisation of the site, and oter markers that can affect stoma siting.
